Technologies Developed

  • A rapid and sensitive PCR assay was developed for molecular diagnosis of B. bigemina in yak and validated for diagnosis of babesiosis in yaks.
  • A recombinant antigen based ELISA was laboratory standardized for serodiagnosis of Taenia solium cysticercosis in pigs.
  • Studied the genetic basis underlying resistance to Theileria annulata infection in indigenous cattle (Tharparkar) as compared to crossbred cattle.
  • Associated in standardization of recombinant TaSP protein based ELISA for diagnosis of Theileria annulata infection in bovines
  • Molecular typing of Izatnagar and Chennai isolates of Toxoplasma gondii as type III lineage by PCR-RFLP and nucleotide sequence analysis of Dense Granule Protein 6 (GRA6) gene was carried out.
