Veterinary Public Health Division
The Division of Veterinary Public Health was created in the year 1971 with the main objective of applying professional veterinary skills, knowledge and resources for solving the human health problems with the ultimate goal of protection and improvement of human health.
The various activities of the Division in the areas of research, post-graduate education and training as is have been recognized by the World Health Organization and Food & Agricultural Organization. The Division recognized as WHO/FAO Collaborating Centre for research and training in veterinary public health as the nodal agency. The Division is also registered as one of the sources in INFOTERA under the United Nations Environment Programme.
