Technologies Developed

  • Listeriolysin-O (LLO)-based plate- and dot-ELISA for reliable serodiagnosis of listeriosis in man and animals.(1997-2001)
  • Modified Agglutination Test (MAT) employing indigenously prepared tachyzoite antigen of Toxoplasma gondii (RH Strain) for serodiagnosis of toxoplasmosis in man and animals. (2003-2006)
  • Improvised the PI-PLC assay for in vitro pathogenicity testing of Listeria monocytogenes isolates by supplementation of medium with CaCl2 and MgSO4; and assessed its potential as alternative to in vivo pathogenicity testing of Listeria isolates
  • A diagnostic kit (Multiplex PCR kit) for rapid and reliable detection of virulent Listeria monocytogenes in food and clinical samples. The developed kit was submitted to ICAR, which was released in the ICAR General Body Meet held on March 06, 2012 at NASC Complex, New Delhi.
  • Synthetic LLO peptide based indirect ELISA for serodiagnosis of listeriosis in caprine, ovine and bovine.
