Technologies Developed

  • At National Research Centre on Yak, an innovative method of mass awareness amongst the yak herdsmen was developed. This method was developed because awareness level about NRC Yak amongst yak herdsmen was nil. For this, the information on yak husbandry was collected and compiled. Later on all these information were translated in Tibetan language and were inscribed on Flag, after making some print frame. These flags were installed in various yak rearing pocket and at some religious point such as GUMPHA, where large number of yak herdsmen assembled. The method developed was called as Yak Flag.
  • Audio educational information module for improvement of livestock management.
