The following services are offered in the Division :

• Consultancy in Biostatistics and Livestock Economics for PG and Divisional research projects.
• Guidance in designing field and laboratory experiments.
• The data on livestock and related statistics updated and analyzed with respect to growth and trend patterns in livestock sector.
• Dissemination of Information on livestock & related statistics to Scientists & PG Students
• Statistical Computing of experimental data.
• Delivering lectures on different aspects of Dairy, Goat and Pig farming to Progressive Farmers / Livestock owners under KVK training programmes.

Trainings imparted

• Winter School of 21 days duration on ‘Economic Appraisal of Livestock Disease Control Projects’ sponsored by ICAR, New Delhi was organized during February 12 to March 04, 2009.at L.E.S. & I.T. Division, IVRI, Izatnagar (U.P.).
• Four Workshop cum SAS Software Installation Training were organized under the NAIP Project “Strengthening Statistical Computing for NARS”.
• Thirty days Trainers Training Programme on SAS: A Comprehensive Overview was organized at IVRI, Izatnagar during 19 July to 23 August, 2010 with SAS Company Resource persons.
• Eleven Researchers’ Trainings on Data Analysis using SAS (5 trainings on-campus and 6 trainings off-campus) were conducted / organized under the NAIP Project “Strengthening Statistical Computing for NARS”.
• Two Sensitization Trainings on Data Analysis using SAS (One training on-campus and one training off-campus) were conducted / organized under the NAIP Project “Strengthening Statistical Computing for NARS”.
