Services Offered

The ARIS Cell’s responsibilities have been grouped into four key areas—infrastructure, digital platforms, communication & security, and user support—so that IVRI’s IT ecosystem remains robust, responsive, and user-friendly.

Infrastructure Maintenance & Connectivity

All network hardware, servers, and storage systems are monitored and maintained to ensure minimal downtime. Security patches and software updates are applied routinely across routers, switches, and firewalls, and nightly backups are executed to safeguard critical data. Campus-wide internet links and Wi-Fi access points are supervised and upgraded as needed so that research labs, offices, and student hostels receive uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity.

Digital Platform Management

The IVRI website is structured as a responsive, multi-layered portal that guides users through all aspects of the institute’s mission and services. At the top, a global navigation bar provides quick links to Jobs, Tenders, and Contact Us, alongside social media icons for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. A multi-level dropdown menu categorizes content into About IVRI (including history, leadership, and governance), Research (ongoing projects, publications, patents, and collaborations), Academics (programs, admissions, faculty, and student resources), Extension activities, Divisions, Technologies, and Services. A prominent image slider showcases key initiatives and milestones, while “Latest at IVRI” and “News at IVRI” sections update dynamically with date-stamped announcements. Interactive counters display real-time metrics—students enrolled, scientists onboard, projects underway, and IPR outputs—giving an at-a-glance view of institutional scale. A sidebar of Quick Links directs users to frequently accessed pages (e.g., payment gateway, annual reports, grievance portal), and a footer presents contact details, policy documents, and resource links. The site’s layout and components are delivered via ASP.NET MVC with Bootstrap/Razor views, backed by a SQL Server database, ensuring both maintainability and adaptability for ongoing updates. The Institute’s social media presence is managed by ARIS Cell, with activities and achievements being regularly shared across Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter. News items, event announcements, research highlights, and training opportunities are curated into engaging posts, photos, and short videos that are scheduled for publication on each platform. Incoming comments and inquiries are monitored and addressed promptly so that stakeholders and the public receive timely feedback. Key performance metrics—such as likes, shares, comments, and follower growth—are tracked continuously to refine the content strategy and maximize reach. Through these coordinated efforts, the Institute’s visibility is enhanced and community engagement is sustained.

Communication & Security Services

CCTV cameras across campus are maintained so that footage stays clear and storage servers operate reliably. Video-conferencing equipment in meeting rooms is tested and calibrated weekly, and on-demand virtual meeting setups are facilitated—including user training and live troubleshooting—so that hybrid seminars and committee meetings proceed without interruption.

User Support & Complaint Handling

An online complaint-registration system is managed end-to-end: incoming requests are routed automatically to the Engineering Section, ARIS Cell, or FMP Section based on category, and resolution progress is tracked until closure. Detailed logs are maintained so that recurring issues can be identified and systemic improvements can be planned.
