The centre has trained for 11 Studentship and 11 Traineeship for six months in
different area bioinformatics research work. Further in last 15 years the
Bioinformatics centre has conducted 30 trainings in frontier area of
Bioinformatics research and till date more than 1000 PG/PhD students
has been trained. Under DBT funding It was one of the centre which
received online/ offline information from DICs, Sub-DICs and other
organizations to meet users specific requirements and to provide
online/offline information to DICs, DISCs etc. on demand.
The routine classes AGB 601 Bioinformatics in Animal
Genetics & Breeding (AGB-601), Bioinformatics in Biotechnology (BTY-614)
, Bioinformatics in Animal Genetics and Breeding (AGB 706),
Introduction to Bioinformatics and Advances in Bioinfromatics
(BTY-707) are scheduled at center with help of computational facilities
available at center. Many sequences have been submitted to NCBI and GEO
submissions. The centre has supported to PG/PhD students for completion
of thesis work in the area
of bioinformatics analysis.
