NAVODAYA is an Agripreneurship Orientation Programme launched by ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR) Agri Business Incubation (R-ABI) scheme. The programme is aimed at providing an opportunity to Students/ Youth, Smart Farmers, Women or anyone interested to venture in Animal Science and related field. The entrepreneurs will refine their ideas to form an innovative prototype in the form of products/ services/ processes/ business platforms or models etc. During the training period, the programme offers a Stipend of Rs. 10, 000 per month and Grant-in-aid opportunity for upto Rs. 5 lakhs upon selection. In addition to idea development, the program aims to create and nurture future start-ups for providing attractive career options for youth.

ELIGIBILITY

• The applicant has to be an Indian citizen.
• The applicant should propose one innovative idea based on technology, service, business platforms etc. for increasing efficiency in agriculture and allied sector.
• Enrolled incubatees (before the release of funds) should fulfil the criteria as per the Start up Definition as per the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DPIIT) notifications from time to time.
• Enrolled incubatees (Pre-Seed Stage) should have a business idea to develop a product or a service with market fit/PoC/Prototype before funds recommendation from SIC and before signing of the MoU with the concerned RABI/KP.
