Central Instrumentation Centre

• The Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) is the Central Instrumentation Centre (CEC) of the institute, equipped with advanced instruments, equipment and facilities. It is involved in research capacity building in students and faculties of the institute.
• The total area of CEC is around 5000 sq ft. This facility is having following seven different laboratories:
  • Imaging lab
  • Spectroscopy lab
  • Processing lab
  • Electron microscopy lab
  • Cell culture lab
  • Peptide synthesis lab
  • General section
• The various equipment in this center includes ultracentrifuge, fluorescence microscope, HPLC system, gene engine (real-time PCR), fluorescence spectrometer, UV-Vis spectrometer, biosafety cabinet type II, multimode reader, CD polarimeter, ION sputter coater, incubator shaker, vacuum concentrator, deep freezer -80°C, refrigerated centrifuges and CO2 incubators.
• All the labs and/or rooms in the CIF are air-conditioned with the arrangement of power backups.
• Safety arrangements like fire extinguishers, and emergency exit are in place in CIF.
• The CIF is accessible to all the faculty and students of the institute. This also made available to the researcher from other institution either on MOU or payment basis.
