Dairy Technology Section

  • This section is having milk pasteurization and packaging unit, facilities for value-added product like paneer, ghee, ice cream, fermented milk etc. The section has also quality control laboratory for regular quality evaluation of milk and milk products.
  • The section handles almost 2000 litres of milk daily and the products like pasteurized milk, paneer, ghee, ice cream are prepared and distributed for consumption.
  • It has unidirectional product flow having separate raw milk entry and processed milk exit facilities. The section has one cold room to store pasteurized milk and other value-added products.
  • All the processing areas are well ventilated with an arrangement of power backups for uninterrupted cold chain maintenance. Safety arrangements like fire extinguishers and emergency exit are in place.
