The placement and counselling cell in IVRI is located in the University Academic block. The Hon. Director supervises the placement cell, and the activities are carried out by a team led by the in-charge of the placement cell. Indian Veterinary Research Institute has a glorious history of creating confident, competent and knowledgeable professionals, and the lion’s share of the graduating students are placed at regional, national and international levels holding various positions. The placement and counselling cell plays a major role in creating employment opportunities and student personality development. It acts as a bridge between the students and the recruiting universities/industry. The placement and counselling cell ensures that the graduating students are capable of carrying out myriad activities related to animal welfare, health care, diagnostics, therapeutics, administration and management. The placement and counselling cell's active role in the student’s career development attracts competent and talented graduates to IVRI.
