Major Achievements

  • Organized and conducted 83 training programmes during 2019 in which 2809 farmers, farm women, rural youth and extension functionaries participated.
  • Conducted 336 demonstration at farmers field in 135.53 ha area on field crops, oilseeds, pulses, horticultural crops, home science and CRM.
  • Conducted 5 OFT’s testing 5 technologies in the fields of 50 farmers. These OFT’s covered Wheat, Paddy, intercropping of vegetable pea in sugarcane and CRM.
  • Conducted 538 extension activities covering 24034 farmers, farm women, and extension functionaries, 3194 Mobile advisories, distributed 34115 seedlings/saplings/cuttings to 2352 farmers, tested 236 soil samples and issued 891 Soil Health Cards.
  • Providing advisory services through social media by crating own KVK Whatsapp group having 225 members, other Whatsapp groups on specific topics and farmers whatsapp groups, KVK Facebook page, Twitter and KVK Bareilly You-Tube Channel.
  • Special Days and Weeks Celebration such as World Soil Health Day, Mahila Kisan Divas, Kisan Divas, World Food day, World Veterinary Day, Vishwa Paryavaran Divas, World Earth Day, Parthenium Awareness Week, Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan Week Celebration, Krishak Kalyan Saptah.
  • ICT activities and Field Demonstrations on In-situ Management of Paddy Crop Residue.
  • Initiated Batch of One year Diploma in Agriculture Extension Services for Input Dealers, initiated 45 days Agri-clinic & Agri-business Training Programme, initiated two centers of Skill Training Programme under Agriculture Skill Council of India for conducting 30 to 45 days skill training programmes.
  • New Fisheries cum Horticulture unit in IFS Mode is being developed near Auditorium and a kitchen garden demonstration unit is developed and is being maintained for the purpose near KVK training facilities. 3 Units of Nutritional Garden with 8 plots of 6 SQM in each Unit.
  • KVK Bareilly awarded with Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Zonal Best KVK award-2018 during the year 2019.
